In this extended version of Zizek's essay on AI, he argues that chatbots are machines of perversion, and that they obfuscate the unconscious more than anything else: precisely because they allow us to spit out all our dirty fantasies and obscenities. In this sense, they are more repressive than even the strictest forms of symbolic censorship.
